Meet Unity's Music Ministry

With rotating speakers, our music is the constant from week to week. Our music grooves, energizes, connects us emotionally and uplifts us. The congregation often cannot prevent themselves from clapping along or standing up and dancing.

Donna Elaine Miller, Music Director and Soloist

Donna Elaine Miller first stepped into the spotlight as a teenager, singing and dancing at Marriott’s Great America in Northern California and then at Disneyland. Some of her most memorable performing experiences include the role of Susanna in Tin Types, Velma Kelley in Chicago and touring with A.M.- A Blast From the Past as well as being a back up singer and dancer with Engelbert Humperdinck. Adding songwriter to her professional resume along the way, Donna has penned many a tune for Walt Disney Pictures, “Sesame Street-Live,” “Dragon Tales-Live,” Disney’s California Adventure, Tokyo Disney Seas, and Sea World in Florida.

 

Donna’s solo performance career began at the famed Cinegril in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. She has gone on to write and perform her acclaimed one-woman musical “Dear Diary."

Tommy Reeves on Keyboard

Keyboardist, lead-singer, and San Diego native, Tommy Reeves is an acclaimed composer whose compositions have been heard on American Idol, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC hit shows Smash and Parks and Recreation, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, E! Special Timbaland, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Access Hollywood, Melrose Place, E! News Live, So You Think You Can Dance, and Dateline NBC. His performance credits include work alongside Reba McEntire, Tony Bennett, Ziggy Marley, Melissa Etheridge, Jesse McCartney, and Burt Bacharach.  

 

Tommy is also an experienced educator with nearly 20 years at the world-renowned Musicians Institute, including a 4-year stint as director of the keyboard program. Tommy has also released two solo albums, Anyone Who Isn’t Me and Another Lap Around The Sun. Reeves’ first love is the deep tradition of the epic rock piano tunes presented by The Kings of 88, and he feels right at home fronting a show that pays homage to the renowned artists who have brought the piano center stage.
